St. Teresa’s definition of mental prayer as an “affair of friendship (tratar de amistad), being alone often with one whom we know loves us,” is fairly well known. What is less well known is her tremendous capacity for human friendship and the extent of her circle of friends.

During this day of recollection I will present St. Teresa’s teaching that friendship is rooted in Christ and allows for an astonishing expression of all that is truly human. I will introduce you to some of her closest friends – in particular, Fr. Jerome Gracian, her closest collaborator.

Cost per participant $65 includes breakfast and lunch.
