Edith Matlock was born in Manhattan and raised on Long Island (Lake Ronkonkoma) and is a graduate of Rider University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Education and taught high school business for nine years after which entered the corporate world where she worked as a controller. She left the corporate world and became Business Manager for Montfort Publications, a ministry of the Montfort Missionaries, publishing the writings of St. Louis de Montfort. Edith was professed into the Third Order of the Carmelite Order in 2012. She currently serves on the Interprovincial Commission for the Lay Carmelites and is a Regional Formation Director in her province of St. Elias. Edith also is currently serving as Executive Director of the Carmelite Institute of North America.
