Loretta has been a member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites since 1987 and currently serves as the Administrator for the OCDS Main Office of the Washington Province of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. She has held many offices and positions of responsibility over the years in the Order, including service on the Provincial Council and chairing two OCDS Congresses. She has served on the Board of Trustees for St. John’s Seminary (Boston), founded the Serra Club of Boston (2009), created and maintained the Monthly Prayer for Priests Apostolate for the Archdiocese of Boston for 30 years (since 1994), and has specialized in organizing many pilgrimages for Carmelites over the years. Her background is in Education with a Master’s degree in Educational Administration. She has been happily married to her high school sweetheart, Brian, for 49 years and delights in the blessing of their two children’s families — with a combined total of five beautiful grandchildren!
