The Carmelite Institute is proud to announce the winner of the 2013 Vilma Seelaus Essay Contest for Carmelite Writing. The winner is Paul Blankenship, of the Graduate Theological Seminar in Berkeley, California. His prize-winning essay is entitled “A Theresian Paradigm of Healing for Abused Children: Cultivating a Lived Experience of God’s Love.” Paul will present his paper during the Annual Carmelite Seminar at St. Mary’s College in South Bend, IN, on Wednesday evening, June 12. After his presentation, the paper will be made available on carmelstream.org.
