Paul Blankenship
The Carmelite Institute has selected the winner of 2013 Vilma Seelaus Essay Contest. Paul Blankenship wins this year’s contest. He will be presenting present his paper at the Seminar on Wednesday evening, June 12. Congratulations to all who participated!

paul blankenship (he spells his name in lower case letters) was born and raised in San Diego, California. He is a doctoral student in Christian spirituality at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California. Currently, paul is a research assistant to Stanford anthropologist Tanya Luhrmann, and he is working on his first children’s book in order to help abused children cultivate a lived experience of Love.
