Lourdes holds a degree in Computer Science – B.Sc (Hons), MBA (Dip) and a PGCE (Education). Lourdes was professed into the Third Order of the Brothers and Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mount Carmel in Guildford, England in 1994 by Fr. Martin Sankey O. Carm. She was one of the original members of the National Consultative Body (NCB) established by the Provincial Delegate, Fr. Brendan Grady O. Carm. Lourdes was actively involved in the design and development
of the Formation Program in the U.K. and presented the work conducted by the NCB to all the communities in Britain. In 2004, Lourdes emigrated with her husband and daughter to Ontario, Canada. She co-founded the Blessed Trinity Community in Toronto. Lourdes is also the Regional Coordinator (RC) for the Ontario and NW New York Region in The Most Pure Heart of Mary Province. As the RC Lourdes formed a Regional Communications Team, whose objective is to enhance communications within the Lay Carmelite communities and those interested in Carmelite Spirituality. The team prepare a monthly newsletter, Lumen Carmeli, and have designed and maintain the Regional Website. Lourdes has presented at several Carmelite events, including retreats at Aylesford, Kent, U.K. and the North American Lay Carmelite Convocation.

Lourdes worked in the high-tech industry as a Business Advisor for Northern Europe and is currently a Realtor in Toronto; her interests include, Astronomy – she is a member of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC), Amateur Radio (UK: M3YIC; Canada: VA3LOC) and photography. Lourdes is trained as a classical singer and has sung with several choirs in the U.K. and Canada. She is an avid reader and the author of the 12-day Gratitude Prayer Book.

In 2014, Lourdes founded the not-for-profit organization, The C.H.I.L.D. Alliance (Children Held In Love & Devotion), an organization built on the pillars of Health, Education and Social Integrity.
