The Carmelite Sisters at Saint Teresa’s Motherhouse in Germantown, New York will celebrate Day of Consecrated Life on September 12, 2015.  This local event is part of the continuing celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life proclaimed by Pope Francis.  The event will start at 1:00 pm with a “Meet and Greet” session followed by a talk on the theme “Carmelite Contemplative Prayer in the Ministry and History of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm” by Fr. Ashley Harrington, O.Carm.  Other highlights include self-guided tour of the Avila grounds, treasure hunt for young people, visit to Chapel for quiet reflections and visit to the newly opened  Mother Angeline Heritage Center.  Evening Prayer with Benediction will close the day’s event followed by a light refreshment with the Sisters.
