The Carmelite Institute is pleased to announce the upcoming Carmelite Symposium, June 28-July 2, 2015. Held at University of St. Mary’s of the Lake in Mundelein, Il, the Carmelite Symposium attracts scholars from around the world to discuss topics of interest to the Carmelite community.
T he theme of the 2015 Symposium is St. Teresa of Avila’s Gift to the 21st Century. It is our hope that this symposium will not only look to Carmelite scholars to expound on St. Teresa’s gifts, but also engage scholars of other charisms to explore how St. Teresa’s gifts to the Church have animated their work.
